HALES TURBINES - MOVING FORWARD TO MARKET
After several years of detailed research and development on the patented Hales Turbine design, plans are firmly underway to bring the first range of venturi ducted micro-generation sized units to the many potential customers and installers that have sent letters of interest.
A new company, Hales Water Turbines Ltd, has been formed to manufacture and market these zero head/tidal stream turbine units and an active search is underway for a suitable industrial unit in the Hastings/Eastbourne area of East Sussex, UK. This workshop/factory is also to house a special Water Flow Test Tank that will not only display units of the turbine under operating conditions to potential customers at various flow speeds but will assist further design development to Hales Energy and also other Primary Stage Developers that need to hire the test tank for early stage research.
The Hales Energy Group will continue to research the potential of zero head and tidal stream energy using the links with Kingston Univesity, London and also making use of our motorboat berthed in Eastbourne Marina to conduct research into corrosion prevention and environmental forms of marine growth control suitable for the temperate waters found in the English Channel.
The Hales Energy websites and email addresses will remain active and in place to promote public and business interest and knowledge into the vast potential of Tidal Energy.
