On completion of all primary design testing on the Ducted Hales Turbine units and the filming of the turbine's operation linked up to a special generator lighting display this summer, it is proposed to sell on the Water Flow Test and Display Tank as a complete working package to allow extra Hales Turbine unit assembly space. It is expected for the tank to be available as from September 2015. Recommended that interested parties visit to view full working operation before draining and flat packing ready to shipping.
This 8m long by 3m wide GRP sectional test tank is completely fitted out with stainless steel baffles and flow controls, comes with twin flow drive systems , both controlled by Optidrive digital controls, one drive a 24" four blade propeller system, the second a 1m water wheel push system. Package will come with filtration system, cross walkway, working walkways in testing area, 250 Kg electric lift crane for prototype installation in the 1.5m test area. Space for a simple wave generator system to be installed as well possible.
Complete Test Tank package will breakdown to ship within 30 foot shipping container
flat pack system or simply load by pallet onto truck.
Water Flow Test Tank Specs:
Length 8 metres , Width 3 metres, Depth 1.5 metres (gives a prototype working area of 1.5m width that can be reduced with extra baffle supplied and a working depth of 1.3 metres, approx water capacity of 32, 000 Litres.)
Motor capacities , both from Be-Tech Ltd with angled gearboxes and cooling fans are 15Kw and 7.5 Kws, Optidrive Digital controls allow slow ramp up speed control and very closely controlled water flow speeds. Flow speeds up to 1.5 m/s with both drives, Fast flow speed at rear of tank.
