HALES TIDAL TURBINE TO SARK ?

TALKS ARE UNDERWAY TO TAKE AND DEPLOY THE DUCTED TIDAL STREAM HALES TURBINE TO A COASTAL LOCATION IN SARK.

THE CHANNEL ISLES, WORLD RENOWNED FOR THE TIDAL FLOWS AND RACES, HAS BOLD PLANS ALREADY IN PLACE TO DEPLOY LARGE OPEN WATER FORMS OF TIDAL STREAM TURBINES,  THE PROJECT BEING DISCUSSED TO TO EXAMINE AND DEPLOY THE SMALLER 2MX2M HALES TURBINE UNITS VERY CLOSE TO LOCATIONS OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION.  TESTING IN THESE  HIGHLY TURBULENT LOCATIONS CLOSE TO SHORE WILL PROVIDE GOOD INFORMATION AS TO THE METHODS OF DEPLOYMENT, MAINTENANCE AND SURVIVABILITY OF UNITS SO CLOSE TO SHORE.

THESE 2MX2M MODULAR UNITS, FITTED WITH 50KW PM GENERATORS, DEBRIS SCREENING  ETC , WILL  PROVIDE A GREAT DEAL OF INFORMATION ALSO TO THE ISLAND OF SARK ON THE EXTRA POTENTIAL OF COASTAL AREAS OF TIDAL ENERGY AS WELL AS THE LARGE OFFSHORE DEPLOYMENTS WHICH INVOLVE VERY LARGE INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE FOR ALL THE CHANNEL ISLES.
