HINCKLEY POINT NUCLEAR WILL BE THE LAST

Forget about the vast costly  over-runs, years building  delays and increasing terrorist threats, Fission Nuclear Reactor systems have shown, that after Chernobyl and Fukushima  disasters, the world is now looking past the political Net Zero target and seeking to make a Hydrogen Easy world.

Just take a look at some of the major car manufactures seeking to develop and market hydrogen, both as hybrid fuel cell and straight hydrogen fuelled cars and vans.

Ahead of the game is Cummins, commercial engine suppliers for trucks, heavy plant, generators etc.  They have just launched a new engine that will directly inter- change with already fitted engines that will operate on a multiple of fuels such as bio-fuels, diesel, methanol or hydrogen.

Still the UK's talks of small locally sited Nuclear Power stations, sounding good because the Rolls Royce name is attached, but these plants, still 8-10 years away from concept to full design spec and then the local planning wars will start as the local populations only has to be reminded that the UK has twenty-seven (27) Nuclear submarines rusting away in dockyards at Plymouth and Rosyth awaiting disposal of their nuclear parts, and these small nuclear plants are modelled on these.

The Tidal flows of the Severn Estuary, alongside Hinckley Nuclear Station produces more than seven times the nuclear plant each flood and ebb period over its length, while the often proposed Tidal Barrage schemes will always fail due to the high particle suspension in the water ( mud to most people), Energy Ministers in the past have been shown that with the proper type tidal stream turbines and Hydrogen produced with electrolysis as  a slack tide back up, all of Wales and much of the South West UK can be supplied with clean power.

Also Hydrogen supply does not require the huge pylons.
