HALES WATER TURBINES LTD SEEK MORE FUNDS

HALES WATER TURBINES LTD HAS JUST COMPLETED AND FILED A SECOND FUNDING APPLICATION TO BRING THE PATENTED  LOW VELOCITY/HIGH TORQUE  HALES TIDAL STREAM TURBINE TO THE OPEN MARKET.

THIS LATEST APPLICATION, ADMINISTRATED BY INNOVATE UK AND IS TARGETED TO FURTHER RESEARCH AND DEVELOP  ENERGY GENERATION. THIS WILL ALLOW HWT LTD TO CONSTRUCT AND EQUIP TWO 2MX2M  DUCTED  CONTRA-ROTATIONAL HALES TURBINES , DEPLOYED ON THE SPECIAL 45 TONNE TEST BARGE OWNED AND OPERATED BY LEASK MARINE LTD, BASED IN KIRKWALL, SCOTLAND.

LEASK MARINE LTS ARE A SPECIALISED MARINE SERVICES COMPANY  HAVE PARTNERED WITH HALES WATER TURBINES LTD TO DEPLOY THESE TIDAL STREAM TURBINES AT THE WORLD   RENOWNED EMEC ( EUROPEAN MARINE ENERGY CENTRE)  SHAPINSAY SOUND SITE.

AQUATERA LTD, THE MARINE CONSULTANTS, WILL AGAIN ACT AS PROJECT MANAGERS, ALSO ORE CATAPULT WILL CONDUCT THE TEST PROGRAM OF THE TURBINE EFFICENCY, DRIVE TRAIN PERFORMANCE AND ANY CERTIFICATE, FREEFLOW69 LTD AND ABLE ENGINEERING LTD WILL BUILD THE TURBINES ETC.

THIS  R&D PROGRAM WILL LAST FOR APPROX 18 MONTHS, STARTING APRIL 2021 SHOULD     HWT LTD BE SUCCESSFUL, WHEN THIS FUNDING WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON 26TH MARCH 2021.

HALES WATER TURBINES LTD IS STILL WAITING LIKE MANY OTHERS, FOR THE RESULTS OF THE 2020  ENERGY CATALYST R8 FUNDING PROGRAM, WHICH CLOSED IN SEPTEMBER 2020 AND SHOULD HAVE HAD THE RESULTS KNOWN ON 14TH DECEMBER 2020.

HOWEVER, BECAUSE SOME OF THE FUNDING FOR THIS £20 MILLION FUNDING PROGRAM CAME PARTLY FROM THE INTERNATIONAL AID FUNDING OF THE UK, WHICH HAS NOW BEEN REDUCED FROM 0.7 % GDP TO 0.5% GDP, THE ORGANISATION  RUNNING THE PROGRAM ARE CONDUCTING A SHORT REVIEW AND DELAYING THE NOTIFICATION OF RESULTS.

THE WORRY IS THAT HWT LTD AND WE SUSPECT MANY OTHER FUNDING APPLICANTS HAVE A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLES AND ORGANISATIONS , ESPECIALLY IN SOME OF THE 60 DEVELOPING NATIONS IN SUB SAHARIAN AFRICA AND SOUTH EAST ASIA THAT EAGERLY AWAIT THE RESULTS, ALSO THE  AID AND INVOLVEMENT IN BRINGING SIMPLE ENERGY SYSTEMS TO THEIR COMMUNITES.

HWT LTD HAS OVER 50 PEOPLE AND 14 UNIVERSITIES AND ORGANISATIONS  AWAITING THE RESULTS,

HALES WATER TURBINES LTD ALSO HAS SEVERAL LETTERS OF INTEREST FROM PRIVATE INVESTORS SHOULD WE BE SUCCESSFUL IN STARTING EITHER OF THESE FUNDING PROGRAMS, BUT THESE LARGE DEVELOPMENT FUNDED PROGRAMS ARE NEEDED TO EXPAND THE RANGE OF RENEWABLE SYSTEMS IN THE MARKET AND THE CONVID PANDEMIC  AND FINANCIAL  FUNDING RESTRICTIONS  ARE PUSHING MANY DEVELOPERS OUT OF THE MARKET PLACE.
