HALES TURBINE - MOVE FROM PRIMARY R&D

After two years of detailed R&D work in the Water Flow Test and Display Tank in Hastings, which has allowed close detailed observation  of each  design alteration to the prototypes at various flow rates.  The company, Hales Water Turbines Ltd will now concentrate on the next stage of the development, with forms of turbine suitable for larger coastal and off shore deployment.
Already the test tank work has shown  ways to improve the basic turbine performance without losing too much of the design brief  held for the micro-generation sized units, the low maintenance, simplicity of assembly etc.

The Water Flow Test tank has now been sold on and our next period will be to expand the design with Solid Works and full CFD run throughs at Kingston University before building further prototypes for further trials at arranged sites. A new patent application is also being filed for the next design stage.

Several enquiries have been received by Hales Water Turbines Ltd about these larger applications of the rugged Hales Turbine design in certain special locations and applications, these are being followed up.
